If you take regular
medications then we attach a list of
your medicines to each prescription.
Use the latest list to let us know
which medicines you require. Any
amendments to the repeat
prescription list can only by made
with the doctors permission and will
take longer to process.
You can then get your request to
us in three ways as follows:
-
Online - please click here to
request a repeat prescription
online
- Pop it into
the box inside or outside the
entrance to the Practice.
- Post it to
the Practice including a stamped
addressed envelope if you want
the prescription posted back.
Please note
that on-line requests are sent to us
via systems that do not belong to
the NHS in a non-encrypted format.
Complete confidentiality for this
type of repeat prescription request
cannot be guaranteed. If you have an
issue with this please feel free to
use our normal repeat prescription
service.
It is no longer possible to request
repeat prescriptions over the phone.
Some of the pharmacies are able to
accept your repeat prescription
request and bring it to the
Practice. Check with your local
pharmacy whether they offer this
service.
Always indicate whether you
will be collecting your
prescription or wish your
prescription to be forwarded
to a particular pharmacy. Please
allow 2 working days before
collecting your prescription from
the surgery.
If you request your prescription to
be forwarded to a particular
pharmacy, please allow an extra day
before collecting from them as your
chemist may not collect from us on a
daily basis.
Same day requests place a
considerable strain on our system so
please help us to help you by
ordering in advance before your
medication runs out.
At least once a year you will be
asked to phone or come and see your
Doctor to check your medicines are
still suitable for you and are not
causing you any problems. A reminder
will be attached to your
prescription.
