January 2009 -
As a result of the considerable
improvement to our premises, one of
our patients has nominated us for
the "RCGP/Leonard Cheshire
Disability Care Award 2009". This
award is given to an individual or
practice in recognition of
innovative or significant
developments in the organisation,
accessibility or delivery of care to
disabled people. We have completed
our required submission and await
the outcome with considerable
interest!
September 2008 - On 2
September 2008 we had the Official
Opening of our improved and extended
building. This ceremony was carried
out by Grant Munro, Captain of
Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and
we took the opportunity to welcome
guests from the NHS and other
organisations who had been involved
or affected by the building project.
At the same time we had the Official
Presentation of our Quality Practice
Award which we successfully achieved
for the second time in February
2008.
August 2008
- Dr Morag Mackinlay has left
Riverside to concentrate on her
hospital work. Dr Mackinlay has been
with Riverside for several years
working 2 days per week while doing
this in conjunction with working in
the Paediatric Dept at Raigmore
Hospital. She has now decided to
concentrate on her Paediatric work
and has therefore had to give up on
her work at Riverside. We wish her
well.
July 2008 -
Dr Natalie Confield has joined
Riverside Medical Practice as a
salaried GP and will be working here
3 days every week, Monday, Tuesday
and Thursday. She was previously
working in Fort William but has now
relocated to the Inverness area and
we are very happy to have her on the
staff at Riverside.
