August 2011 – We are joined this month by Dr Ruth Anderson, a GP Specialist Trainee Year 3 who will be with us until August 2012 and by Dr Paul McMullan, a GP Specialist Trainee Year 1 who will be with us until February 2012.
June 2011 – After 5½ years at Riverside Medical Practice Dr Ruth MacAskill is leaving the practice to take up a GP Partnership in Beauly. She will be at the practice until the end of June and then will take up her new post in August.
The practice has reallocated Dr MacAskill's patients to an established doctor based at the practice and we can strongly commend them to you. None the less, you continue to be free to see any doctor of your choice at Riverside.
February 2011 – After 11½ years at Riverside Medical Practice Dr John Kennedy is leaving the practice to relocate and be nearer family. He will continue to be at the practice until the end of March and then will take up his new post on 1st April 2011.
The practice has reallocated Dr Kennedy’s patients to an established doctor based at the practice and we can strongly commend them to you. None the less, you continue to be free to see any doctor of your choice at Riverside.
We are joined this month by Dr Emily Wright, a GP Specialist Trainee Year 1 who will be with us until August 2010.
Dr Natalie Confield has gone on six months maternity leave. Dr Matthew Strachan has come back to Riverside as GP locum for Dr Confield until August 2011.
August 2010 – We have said farewell to Dr Mathew Strachan who has completed his GP training and is currently doing locum work in the Inverness area while he decides on his future career path.
We are joined this month by Dr Lawrie Spence, a GP Specialist Trainee Year 3 who will be with us until August 2010.
August 2010 – This month we are refurbishing the 7 consulting rooms that were not rebuilt as part of the building extension project. This is something we have been aiming to do for some time as it did not seem fair that some GPs were in nice smart new consulting rooms while others were in consulting rooms that were 22 years old and not well laid out for modern consulting.
All this work has now been completed to schedule and hopefully there will be no further building or updating work required at the surgery for some time.
January 2010 – We are joined for a four months maternity locum by Dr Graeme Walker, an experienced GP with an interest in rural medicine and expedition medicine. Dr Walker will be with us until April 2010 working six sessions per week, that is all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
August 2009 – Dr Matthew Strachan has joined us as a 12 month GP Specialist Trainee Year 3. He will be with us until August 2010 and is a fully qualified doctor undergoing further training in general practice.
We are also joined at the same time by Dr Judith Campbell, a GP Specialist Trainee Year 1 who is with us for six months until the end of January 2010. She is at an earlier stage in her GP training but will be performing all the duties required of a general practitioner.
