Salaried Doctor - Foyers & Riverside Medical Practice

A salaried GP is sought for a combined position at both Foyers Medical Practice and Riverside Medical Practice working 6 to 8 sessions per week.

We are a group of three GP Practices covering urban and rural locations. Riverside is in the heart of Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. Situated on the picturesque River Ness yet only a stroll from the city centre, it offers a typically vibrant and dynamic urban environment. Foyers is a small, rural, dispensing practice based on the eastern bank of Loch Ness, 20 miles south west of Inverness. We also look after Cromarty Medical Practice, a second rural practice on the Black Isle, 25 miles to the north-east of Inverness.

This salaried GP position is exciting and unique in offering the combination of both rural as well as urban practice, with all the rewards and challenges that each entails, in two medical centres just a half hour drive from each other. The post is an excellent development post providing rural experience with peer support. Both practices are located in modern, purpose-built, efficient premises, with great staff.

We already host GP trainees, FY2s and medical students at Riverside, offering experience at Foyers – and we are developing plans to expand training in the near future. Other interests include minor surgery, occupational medicine, sports medicine, clinical leadership and medico-politics. We are keen to support our doctors to either undertake traditional general practice or have a portfolio career – or both.

Informal enquiries & visits encouraged.

Applications by CV with covering letter and two referees to:

Mr Andy Grist, General Manager, Riverside Medical Practice, Ballifeary Lane, Ness Walk, Inverness IV3 5PW.

Telephone: 01463 715999.

Closing date: Friday 29th March 2019.

Interview date: tbc date in April.

Start date: 1 June 2019 or by agreement.
